Gil Avnit, CPA
Gil Avnit has more than 20 years of public accounting experience, including six years as a Senior Manager at RSM LLP and ten years as a Senior Manager at Forvis Mazars. He has spent the majority of his career providing audit and other services to privately held companies in a variety of industries, including technology, media and entertainment, distribution and retail, ranging in size from pre-revenue to $3 billion in annual revenue. Gil has technical expertise in a variety of complex accounting-related matters, including revenue recognition, business combinations, stock-based compensation, debt modifications and extinguishments, leases and consolidations.
Gil has extensive experience working with private equity firms and their portfolio companies, as well as the necessary accounting and other needs that accompany the initial acquisition of a portfolio company and future “tuck-in” acquisitions. He provides value to his clients in identifying opportunities and providing recommendations for improving efficiency in accounting and operational processes, enhancement of overall financial performance, customizing financial reporting methods to meet the needs of investors and lenders, strengthening internal controls, integration of newly acquired businesses, preparation for a future sale of the business, and preparation for adoption of new accounting standards.
