SCOTT KORMANAdvisor (Investment Banker, Manufacturing Senior Executive, Turnaround Specialist)
Mr. Korman is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Best Manufacturing Group LLC, the leading manufacturer and distributor of napery, service apparel, hospitality and healthcare textiles and image apparel. Previously, Mr. Korman had been an Owner and Director of Welsh Farms and its President and CEO from 1995 until its sale in July 1998 to Parmalat USA Corporation. Welsh Farms was a full service dairy, processing and distributing milk, ice cream mix and ice cream products. Mr. Korman is the founder and President of Nashone, Inc., an investment and financial advisory firm. Mr. Korman serves on the Board of Directors of many private companies.
BEN KOHAN, CPAAdvisor (Reorganization, Insolvency & Litigation Support)
For the past 13 years, Ben Kohn has provided forensic accounting services in relation to bankruptcies and litigations at Eisner-Amper LLP. Specializing in the area of Reorganization, Insolvency & Litigation Support, Ben has experience in analytical support and financial protection against insolvency. Throughout his work experience, Ben has worked closely with attorneys and given numerous depositions for settlement negotiations, mediations and trials. Utilizing OCR and e-Discovery software, Ben converts voluminous paper records into searchable electronic databases offering the ability to preserve data files which can be later used to extract useful information.
Malya AckermanManager of CFO Advisory Group
Malya Ackerman is Manager with the CFO Squad with several years as a public accountant beginning with PFK O’Conner (LB Goodman & Co) as a senior accountant in auditing. In recent years, Malya Ackerman has worked as a Controller managing over 12 entities overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management as well as monitoring key analytics and performances and other cost saving measures. As Controller, she ensured financial data and banking information was recorded quickly and efficiently as well as the accuracy of revenue and accounts receivable reporting. Her duties also included month-end and annual financial close processes, supervision of the accounting team and the accuracy and timeliness of reports, preparing financial statement packages for each entity, and presentations to upper management. She served as the main point of contact for external accountants, providing documentation as needed for all audits, reviews, and compilations during the financial reporting process. Her experience also includes working with new ERP systems and creating financial reporting processes.
JAMES “JAY” CARDWELL, CPAChief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer at the CFO Squad, Jay Cardwell is primarily responsible for client relationships and services as well as the Company’s tax compliance division. In addition, Jay is in charge of promoting the company’s growth and development through expansion of SEC and tax compliance services, opening new CFO Squad offices, and developing new client services.
MATTHEW CONDON, CPA, MBAManager
Matthew is a highly-skilled and client-centered Supervisor at the CFO Squad. He works with a variety of clients in many industries such as manufacturing and distribution, retail and bio-medical. Matthew performs consulting work on implementation of new accounting guidance such as ASC 842 and ASC 606 as well as general audit preparation. He aids companies that are seeking growth and invests much time in public filings. He creates schedules, assesses complex debt and equity and writes memos for audit preparation and guides clients through the audit process. Additionally, Matthew serves as a liaison between companies and auditors when requested. Matthew also maintains an expertise in SEC Reporting. As Supervisor, Matthew trains new employees, performs onboarding tasks, manages team members and assists with operational processes to grow the firm. Matthew previously worked as an Audit Supervisor at Marcum LLP.

MICHAEL FRIEDMAN, CPADirector, Tax Provision & Compliance
Michael has over ten years of senior/director level experience in major corporate tax operations in ASC 740, IAS 12 and income tax compliance as well as quantification of Uncertain Tax Positions (UTP / FIN 48), plus he has an in depth understanding of all 50 State and Local Tax (SALT) concepts and approx. 75 foreign tax regimes, transfer price studies, R&D tax credit.
ERICK FRIM, CPAPartner
With over 35 years of accounting experience including 10 years at KPMG and 13 years at EisnerAmper as an Audit Director. Erick has developed a deep technical accounting expertise. During his career, Erick has served clients in a wide range of industries including Sports, Media, and Entertainment Companies, Biotech and early-stage Pharmaceutical Companies, and high-growth technology companies. Erick is a veteran of dozens of successful public and private financings and M&A transactions. While at EisnerAmper, Erick was one of the “go-to” professionals for handling IPOs, M&A transactions as well as complex SEC and GAAP reporting requirements for publicly traded companies.

MICHAEL HARRISON, CPA, MSTDirector of Technical Accounting
Michael Harrison started his career at a national accounting firm where he became an audit manager and lead auditor of numerous private and publicly traded companies that were heavily involved in sophisticated financing, mergers and acquisitions, and equity based accounting. He managed the full scope of audit engagements and has extensive knowledge and exposure to the common issues facing private and publicly traded companies. Most recently prior to joining The CFO Squad, Michael was Controller, CFO, and Chairman of the Audit Committee three bio-tech companies with over $100 million in revenues, where he managed a staff of 15 personnel overseeing all aspects of financial reporting and SEC compliance as well as internal managerial reporting cycles.
JOSEPH HIMY, CPAFounder and Managing Director
Mr. Joseph Himy, CPA, is an experienced Chief Financial Officer with 20 years of diversified practice in a broad range of industries and with businesses of a variety of sizes. He began his financial career with the big four accounting firm Deloitte & Touche where he was promoted to audit manager within the banking and broker dealer business unit.
ETAN ISRAEL, CPAManager
Etan Israel joined The CFO Squad as a Senior Accountant after working as a Senior in the audit department of a public accounting firm in New York. Etan is responsible for providing financial reporting and consulting services to public and non-public companies.
LUKE MCPHERSON, CPADirector of SEC Reporting and Fund Administration Group
Luke McPherson has more than 8 years of public accounting and finance experience, serving as a trusted advisor to both publicly traded and privately held companies. His experience includes advising clients on accounting consideration for ASC 606, VIE, Convertible Debt with/without embedded derivatives and beneficial conversion features, tranche accounting, purchase allocation, business combinations and IFRS to US GAAP conversion. Luke also has extensive experience with S-1, S-4, and Form-10 registrations for a variety of companies in life sciences, oil & gas, technology, and construction industries.
Prior to joining the firm, Luke was an Audit Manager at Bakertilly where he served a variety of clients in the private equity, emerging technology, life sciences and construction, specializing in the planning and completion of SEC audits.
Andriy MushakDirector of SEC Department
Andriy Mushak is an accomplished Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a rich history of over 15 years in the fields of accounting and audit. He boasts a strong academic foundation and specializes in diverse industries, including technology, life sciences, media, medical supplies, finance, and manufacturing. He is skilled in SEC and Private Companies reporting and compliance, with an impressive tenure as Senior Audit Manager at Baker Tilly (Boston) spanning more than a decade. Andriy specializes in accounting and reporting over complex areas, like revenue recognition, debt and equity transaction, reporting and consolidation. Moreover, his expertise extends to the development, implementation, and seamless integration of internal control systems. Andriy is renowned for seamlessly blending academic rigor with practical acumen, establishing himself as a dependable authority in accounting and reporting.
BENTZION WECHSLERSenior Manager
Bentzion is a seasoned Accountant with 18+ years in the industry. After working for the CFO Squad as a consultant, Bentzion joined the firm as Senior Manager. In his role, he focuses largely on SEC clients assisting them with audit and financial statement preparation, as well as required filings including forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 20-F. Bentzion also assists private companies with audit preparation, quarterly and annual financial statements, and investor reporting requirements. Additionally, Bentzion provides accounting treatment for complex accounting transactions, such as business combinations, equity and convertible debt issuances, warrant and option valuations and transactions involving goodwill and intangibles. Bentzion oversees several team members and provides supervision for them. Bentzion thrives on his relationships with both his clients and the team at the CFO Squad. He ensures all deadlines are met and that the services he provides his clients are satisfactory.

EDWARD WONG, CPAManager of Accounting Automation and Financial Planning
Eddie is responsible for the implementation of new financial reporting software and financial modeling for our clients. He can organize large amounts of data from various sources and create a sophisticated forecast model, that are easy to understand. The financial models are dynamic, comparing various years /entities / products within the same model. Eddie is also adept in SEC reporting, audit preparation, financial reporting, and accounting for complex accounting transactions.
Prior to joining the CFO Squad, Eddie was the Assistant Controller for a public media company where he was responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, FP&A, and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley. Eddie had a pivotal role in consolidating multiple accounting software programs, creating a sophisticated forecast model, and automating labor intensive work by creating workpapers and templates by leveraging his extensive knowledge and experience in Excel. Eddie graduated with a Bachelor’s in accounting from CUNY Queens College.
JEANNINE ZIMMERMANDirector of Human Resources and Operations
Jeannine Zimmerman joined The CFO Squad as their Vice President of Operations where she has the key position of reporting to management, overseeing various engagements, and supervising staff on a daily basis. She was promoted to Vice President of Human Resources in December 2014 in response to the increased demand for the CFO Squads core services
